“I often have to create multiple looks for a show, to cut down on time I will use one pattern and make changes to it. This way, I have a set of similar clothes that are custom designed.”
On display at the studio will be several different costumes made from the same pattern. Jasen created these pieces by altering the pattern to suit the needs of the garment, whether to be appropriate for an era or character. There will also be other pieces on display. Jasen will show how he alters a pattern using different techniques, giving you ways to create a personalized garment. These are skills that you will use over and over to make your wardrobe unique
